Recently I visited a provincial heritage settlement from the mid 1800s. It had 3 churches and one kitchen sized school. That same day I saw gravestones with dated births late 1700s and deaths early to mid 1800s. It made me reflect on their lives and times. They never knew WW1 was another lifetime into the future. They had no clue what the world would have in store. And, they will never know they were cheated out of the reality that their life was their only window of consciousness. They were forced against all common sense to trade their freedom of thought and purpose, for a promise of eternal paradise to motivate them into sacrificing their only life for the sole benefit of the Church. How despicably evil religion is.
